Kurmtrash:

I segment my EDC into three "carries" - 1) what is on me at (almost) all times; 2) what I carry with me most times; and 3) what is nearby and quick to grab most times.

Carry 2 is a small day-tmer journal where I keep my Leatherman, my PSK, meds, a bandana, ziplocks, a garbage bag and some rope, along with work-related things. Very un-obtrusive. Carry 3 is my briefcase/computer case, where I carry a Streamlight light, umbrella, large construction-grade garbage bags, a water bottle and some snacks.

But Carry 1, my minimal carry, is this:

Cellphone in case on belt.
Keychain in my left pocket with my keys and one of my dog-tags from my military days fo ID pirposes if they are lost.
Keychain in right pocket with a Leatherman Squirt S-4, BSA Hot-spark, Arc AAA-P LED, P-38 can opener, 3-foot measuring tape (for work).
BiC lighter in right pocket, too.
On a chain around my neck I carry my military dog tags (with medical allergy tag), polished blank dog tag for mirror, $20 bill sanwiched between two of the dog-tags, and a small-tubular whistle.
In my wallet, I normally carry another $20 bill and a few band-aids (plasters).

With that I can cut, signal, make fire and, if possible, buy something.

Hope this helps.

Bon temps, mon ami!
