Well, hypothetically glucose would promote faster water absorbtion than using surcrose (table sugar), but in the real world? The difference probably is not that significant. Anyway, just know that in a pinch, you can make an effective rehydration solution just from ingredients in the average kitchen. And it is definitely more quickly and effectively absorbed than just plain water.
