I couldn't be happier with the Condor; I went through a long search looking for a good quality backpack with lots of pockets and compartments.

There's plenty more room inside -- I could cram more into it, but this is going to become my day hiking bag, too. So I'm trying to keep it somewhat light. I might stash my 70oz. Camelbak bladder in there (be warned: a 50oz. bladder looks like it might fit in the hydration pocket a LOT better) to replace the bottled waters, or maybe a couple Nalgene bottles.

In my opinion, $90 for a bag that will probably outlast me is not bad. The straps are adjustable and some, like the belt strap, are completely removable (like Frenchy pointed out, it does seem to ride high).

Maxpedition gear seems to be pretty heavy-duty.
