I keep wanting to get a camp stove for shelter-in-place in case the power or gas go out here during a disaster. It would be useful for camping too, of course. Most of the food I have at home requires cooking (e.g. dry rice).

Also I should get around to pouring out my several year old stored water (about a half dozen 1-gal jugs) and refilling with fresh water. Should I add anything to preserve it? I've figured on treating with iodine or bleach at the time of use.
