I think it’s well-made and works to do what it’s designed to do, quite well.

Every professional medic I know (somewhere between five and ten) carries a less expensive single-purpose pair of shears that are easier to clean.

I own two Leatherman Raptors; one was a gift. One is attached to the trauma kit in my main car-based emergency kit, and the other is kept on my person at the range.

In class last weekend, it happened that none of our professional medic students were able to attend, and so I was the lead medic that day. If any of the pros are present, I’ll serve as backup medic.
