I try to pick small and lighter things for most things I own. Not just EDC. Takes up less space and easier to carry with you. It just reduces any friction from actually using it. This goes from my small toolbag that does 95% of the jobs, to a stick vacuum.

Also, pack smart; tried carrying a USB with my backups on me; too big. I just have a giant micro-sd card in my phone where I put my encrypted backups on. No extra space involved and always with me. Pick a high endurance version for reliability.
