Not being a fan of items hanging on my neck, I prefer to put many items on my key ring.Besides house and car keys, I carry a AAA lashlight, a small multitool (plus a locking folder), a mini pry bar, and cash in a sturdy capsule. I have added a peanut lighter on occasion.

Other goodies, which vary day to day, go in pockets or in a pouch in my backpack. Those are the rudiments of an expedient shelter, fire making items, and an appropriate FAK. Also maybe a snack,preferably with chocolate, or two....
