Nicely done. It looked like the storm might head up my way for a little while, so I started in on my preps, but abandoned them when the forecast changed and it looked to head out to sea or back down south.

You're fortunate you got power back relatively quickly. Back when Sandy rolled through it took 15 days for LIPA to restore power to my home. While we did not suffer, it became much easier once I procured a generator. A couple of days without power is VERY different from a couple of weeks.

Nice job also on looking out for your neighbors, and helping them to make good decisions.
