This was memorably the most depressing book I ever read. I'm not sure I can recommend it in this context.


I have to agree. I can do rose-coloured glasses with the best of them, but "The Road" was just overwhelmingly depressing.

I'm wracking my brain to make a good suggestion, however.... I am perimenopausal and ,according to my kids, every movie makes me cry. LOL!
