www.thelivingmoon.com) for the above image should not instill any confidence for anyone to believe that Columbia disintegrated due to a supposed lightening strike.
Columbia disintegrated on re-entry due to foam insulation that broke off and hit the left wing on takeoff. This is lot more believable IMHO.
