This is what I use...has been in service for over a year and still holds up well. There's a loop on the back of the case to attach to your belt.
Top row is: knot practice cards and cordage,alcohol wipes, fabric bandaids,tylenol, moleskin.
Second row: whistle,flashlight,leatherman micra on lanyard, chapstick, extra flashlight battery, gum, blank card for notes/etc.
The case was about $8 at wallyworld and is a point and shoot camera case. It holds quite a bit actually. Measures 3x4.5 and is 2" thick when packed. What it can hold is up to your imagination and needs.
