Schools are between a rock and a hard place because the "gun free zone" is specified in state law for many places. Private property is a different matter entirely. Given that, they should be legally responsible for my safety to the fullest extent while I'm on their property. If I'm inside a private property "gun free zone" when something like this happens and survive, I will be filing a suit based on contributing to a dangerous environment.
