Way back when... way back... in high school I was attending a Christian Service Brigade weekend camp for our unit. Someone had brought foot powder, which when was revealled, brought up some derision by a couple of the leaders who wanted everyone to pack LIGHT. We all thought he was a bit of a softy for bringing that (either that or his mommy packed for him!) He kept it quietly packed for the rest of the weekend.

Now that I am in my fifties and have suffered the occassional rash problem (downtown!) during my backpacking and kayaking excursions. I am thinking 2x about being critical about that idea. So now I bring an small 1 oz. bottle of Gold Bond Body powder on longer outings. Body powder works for the feet as well. The zinc oxide doubles as sun screen and I have no more itch. Whew!!!
