Please bear with my questions that pop u p on me time to time when I have nothing to do. This is ( around the campfire) so, any topic is welcome, I think.

Alright. Time to time I see mating or breeding between different types of dogs (sometimes very funny when female is much bigger than male). LOL . Anyway, this is not my question. The question is that as dogs are related and can breed, and donkeys and horses can breed ( to make mules and henneys ) , is there a similar kind of cross-breeding in the cat family ? For example, one time I saw a fight between a lynx and a bobcat and wondered about how similar in size ..etc they are, so does mating/breeding ever occure between them ?

We have seen MANY examples of dogs resulting of two breeds of dogs, and even between dog and wolf, but in the cat family I only remember one example resulting of mating between a tiger and lion.

OK , I admit it is a useless question but I was just curious.
