I prefer rigid bottles for most use, but you can't compact them down for carry in a survival kit. While I use the same bags that come in the Doug's PSP Plus for my pocket kits, the platypus bottle do well in bigger kits where space is important.

Replace the cap with a push/pull cap and they become much easier to use.
