A day in the woods did not go so well. Talkative friends probably contributed to a total sighting of three - crows!

Target shooting went poorly and I was mystified until I noticed the scope set screw failed and the scope was creeping backward with every shot.

Back to the rangemaster / gunsmith. Much grief and kidding. Scope mount taken apart to inspect and re-install set screw with a lead pellet at the bottom of the tube, a small amount of clear nail polish in ieu of locktite, a pellet on top after the screw was installed and the whole scope re-mounted. Said to be a known problem.

After re-zeroed, the rifle shots a little less high at 10 yards than before this episode, but patterns tight and repeatable.

I advanced from rest shooting, to one elbow on the table shooting, to standing / offhand shooting with good success. Still get tired and wobbly shooting offhand for more than a few minutes.
