I would add sunblock and bug spray, it is Louisiana after all. I too would lose the messkit and just go with a metal cup. Water purification tablets or a filter would have to be the way to go without fire to boil water.... Maybe a brimmed hat with a mosquito net? Like I said, it is Louisiana, right?
