Other items that might be helpful -- extra toilet paper and adult diapers.

There have been multiple references to severe diarrhea with this illness, even though it's not classified as a gastrointenstinal virus (ie norovirus). Having worked in developing countries, this is a concern of mine, as it's one of the main reasons people fall victim to dehydration.

Also note: anti-diarrhea medications are not a good idea, as they might stop up harmful bacteria in the body that might otherwise be flushed out.
