Would gas that is, say, three years old still be viable in a modern vehicle?
I don't know. Consider the value of the old gas v. cost of servicing modern vehicles.
Personally, being both a cheapskate and a risk taker, I might risk adding a gallon or so to each new nearly full tank until it was used up, followed by a bottle of fuel system cleaner. But I'm no mechanic or expert.
