I usually irrigate with clean water, suck on it if it ain't too big an opening, or squeeze around it to get the blood flow up enough to hopefully flush the cut. If it ain't flowing too vigorously, I will glue it up as soon after cleaning it off as possible. If it is bleeding too much, I will apply pressue, elevate it, and/or apply cold to it.
