I too am a teacher and try to gently educate about this topic. Does your area have a CERT group? Mine does, but they require a minimum of ten people for the training, and so far I'm out of luck. If they don't have one, you can start one. Some people might be more comfortable with a specific protocol that comes from the government...and then again, others might avoid that
