I haven't seen any on the market but All they are are heavy duty zip lock bags you stick in with the MRE Heater with level markings.

So far I've used them once for that Capacino stuff (not bad) otherwise I've just tossed them.

Are they the same as the bags from these rations:

Can you actually cook in those kinds of bags?

Actually did a little research and found this link where you can indeed purchase them. Link Look just below the MRE heaters. Thanks for the responses!

Not quite the same bags, but they might be close. I wish Bestglide would put more technical information on their pages.

The beverage bag was included becuase the newest menus of MREs include stuff like milk shakes. Not something you want to make in a canteen. Ewww. But they are as tough as a good freezer bag, so you can certainly heat or rehydrate things in them. But I wouldn't go over 100C with one.

I just compared the ones in your link to one that I just pulled out of a real MRE and they look 100% identical. If you want PM me and I can send you one.

Its the best/lightest way to cook your food while backpacking.

There is a considerable ammount of information on many backpacking sites reguarding this method.

This along with an alcohol stove and aluminum pot and you save alot of weight.
