Looks like there is a GREAT increase in cost of ammunition due to various factors 1)Military operations and government use, 2) higher cost of raw products, 3)worried Americans.

I hope you have your supply put back for what looks like a long drought comming.

You want to see high ammo cost, just go to Californina! I have discovered that ammo is much cheaper in other states. But, like everything else, it is indeed going up in price. Everything goes up except my retirment check...

I have noticed a big drop in the supply of .223 / .556 lately.
I sure a lot of it is in the middle east.
Intersting how a war can make a readily available caliber hard to find.

That's why I shop online for ammo..... $20 for a 20 round box is ridiculous!

The best .223 ammo deal I have found is $6.44 for 20 rounds of Remington fmj 55gr at WalMart. Some stores are sold out. $0.32 a shot is not cheap. Remington golden bullet can be had for about $12 for a 525 round box. $0.02 a round is cheap enough that I can let my boys shoot all they want. grin

Bought the last 3 boxes of Rem .223 at the local WallyWorld.
$6.44 here also. Of course the WW employee tried to hand me a box
of ammo that was a different size and shape as the other 2.
"They're all the same, right?"

Most Aussies would find that quite appropriate. Wallyworld must be a chain of supermarket stores surely!! smile

WallyWorld = WallMart, the giant chain store.
