Can anyone give me a brief explanation on how to "daisy-chain" 550 cord. Pictures would be great. I've looked everywhere, only to end up at bondage and sex sites! :-) Thanks!<br><br>John McIntire

If you were refering to daisy-chainning as a quick storage for webbing/ropes, try this:<br><br>http://www.virtualinks.com/knots.htm#CHAIN<br><br>You could get a lot of rope/webbing D/C'd. When you need it-undo the trailing end and pull. It will unravel knot by knot until you get the length you need. Once you get the desired length, just resecure the last knot.<br><br>If you are referring to daisy chain as a series of loops sewn into webbing or packs, usually to clip things to (like in mountain climbing), I'm not sure how that would work with 550 cord. (I guess that's why you asked!)<br><br>Here is another way of knotting up 550 cord:<br><br>http://www.slatts.freeserve.co.uk/slatts-knot.htm<br><br>Best of luck!<br><br><br>

Try one of the sites on climbing or rope/technical rescue, they may have some pics. Basically, fold the rope in half (you can fold this in half again, although it gets a little tricky, practice with it fold once first and get the hang of it), starting at the two ends, create a loop, grab through the loop the two folded stands, pull though and snug up the loop, you should have the next loop to pull the two strands though. As you get closer to the top where the original fold is located, pull that loop through the last loop you created by chaining to loch it off. Sound confusing, but some practice you can daisy-chain line/rope quite fast. No promises, but if you send me your e-mail address, I will try and scan a diagram from one of my rescue manuals. Pete

See Doug's review of the WSI kit. He has a good picture of the daisy-chained paracord.<br><br> Doug's Paracord picture
