I ordered it in 200 weight fleece and had them add wrist cinches and a pocket.

I think when coupled with the Hilleberg Big-Anorak its a good combination for the trunk, backpack, kayak, airplane,etc.

Glad you liked it....I think the 200 weight is right at 39oz...maybe to heavy to backpack with since you probably already have a sleeping bag...but for dayhikes its not too heavy. The Biv/Anorak would be awesome under a debri pile that may be slowly dripping, the Biv/Anorak stopping the water from getting to your or the fleece...and the Biv/Anorak would be awsome under a 2-3 foot pile of leaves. I liked the fact that you could still use your arms when in the entire setup to do whatever-fire/filter water/first aid/walk around.
I did pull up the Bod-i-bag and cinch it around my waist and it holds well allowing movement without the shuffle you might get if down around the ankles.
I think I will order another bodi-bag but in 100 weight fleece, use the 200 for the kayak and the 100 for day hikes....again, either would be nice in the trunk.

Thanks for the post. I have been looking for something I can take while on business trips in the winter. Did you order the loose fit or form fit? I would probably like to be able to wear my fleece jacket (or vest) under the Bod i Bag in an emergency.

I ordered the loose fit.....i'm in a sea kayak at least 5 days a month and wanted it loose so I could use it also as a changing station (thinking getting off the water a citizens not wanting to see me strip out of wet and into dry)....and like you said it allows whatever layer(s) you have to be worn under. I think you'll like it, the hard decision will be which weight to order...and the hood is fairly form fitting.

Neat product, thanks for the link. Seems like it would make a great liner for winter camping, especially with the double footbox and long sleeves in the 200 weight. With that setup and some long underwear, I might actually be able to use my zero degree bag in zero degree temperatures!(I normally add about 20 degrees to the rating, and I wouldn't use my zero bag below 20 degrees). The sleeves would help with things like reading in my tent without my arms being cold.

The only downside is I would probably wear the bag when cooking/eating, which in bear country would be a bad idea, since then you and your sleeping bag smell like food.

Liner? I'm thinking it would be good alone in a bivy for summer.

Thanks for the link. I have emailed bod-i-bag to see they can make the bod-i-bag in Gore WINDSTOPPER® fleece fabric or cotton Ventile material. Unfortunately they are not able to this at this moment in time. I would much rather have the bod-i-bag in a windproof material.

If you or someone you know can sew they currently have pattern & directions posted on the site.

Thats Brilliant - There is even an Excel calculator to generate the dimensions for the Pattern. This looks like a very promising project. I know where I can get some Cotton Ventile fabric roll seconds to save some money. I think I'll make it a double layer, DPM ventile on the outside and OG ventile on the inside. This will allow the Bod-i-bag to also double up as an emergency breathable and semi-waterproof bivi bag also.

Looks like a very good option for keeping in a vehicle.
