Yes, been a few times.
Bermuda is a beautiful place, very friendly people, great beaches and golf courses. If you like either the beach or golf you're going to the right place.
The Bermuda dollar is equal to 1 US dollar so no "funny money" conversions are required. Every place accepts US dollars.
It is not inexpensive, there are some places to eat rather cheaply though. Ask the locals and they'll steer you to the places. No cars available for rental, but motor scooters if you're OK with that. they drive on the "wrong" side of the road and that takes some getting used to.

Is Bermuda an expensive resort?

How much does a economy hotel charge for each day?

Generally regarded as expensive. So far it looks like a package deal with room and airfare is the way to.
You can search Bermuda Package vacations and get an idea.

I would say (having been to Bermuda quite a few times) this would be the way to go. Another thing to look into is off-season. Jan-Mar might be the best time for that. Not cold but now hot weather. Apr-Oct except for hurrican season would be the most expensive.
