Ken, A private party periodically offers these on EBAY. There are actually a few different ones, but this is the most complete. It is a mixed bag of items contained in a translucent white bag. If I recall the contents are; TRA-CON fishing kit, signal mirror, G.I. wire saw, Camillus G.I. camp knife ( a small S/S folder- 3" blade,awl, can and bottle opener) brass snare wire, Silva compass, magnesium bar, , first aid items, razor blades, plastic bladder water bag and purification tablets. Bidding is FIERCE and often greater than the individual cost of the items seperate. Most are available new. I would purchase the quality items and supplement with commercial equivelents.

Don't you find that those magnesium bars taste rotten? Do nothing for indigestion either. ;-)<br><br>Justin

From my experience in Army aviation, military survival kits leave a LOT to be desired and are very narrowly mission oriented. Unless your interest lies in collecting, you can do a much better job on your own.<br>Good luck
