I purchased a few magnesium plate scraps a while back when I was making magnesium impregnated wax-covered cotton-balls fire starters (BOFs). I have more magnesium than I would ever use and would like to offer some out to those who are interested in making their own fire starters.

These 3/8" thick scraps are irregular shapes but consist of chunks approximately 2~1/2 " by 5~1/4". Believe me, one chunk is a lot of magnesium. You may contact me directly at dbeeksci@aol.com I have 14 pieces of extra and will offer these out at $4 each plus a dollar for post for $5 total each. BTW, the easiest way to make small chips is by sanding with a coarse sandpaper drum, disc or belt sander.

Received mine a few days back. Nice big chunk! Thanks. Looks like it was cut from a largish circle pattern... I figure it's about 8+ of the standard small block firestarters worth. Plenty big for 5 bones.
