I know there was a fairly popular TV program about a flying NUN, so maybe one about flying MUNKS would do better on TV than one about FRAIR MONKS as there are already too many cooking shows on TV.

Bountyhunter

P.S. Just back for today, my primary computer modem is giving me grief which has to be taken care of before I come back on a regular basis.

Poaching doesnīt neccessarily mean shooting is involved. Many poachers use snares. They donīt make a noise and itīs required to catch someone putting the snare or taking the snared animal. Poachers who use snares definitely avoid running into someone when collecting their prey even if it means to abandon an animal. Poachers who use rifles would also avoid to get caught. So signalling the position would keep poachers away. After all police would put much more effort in catching someone who assaulted or killed a person than they would put in catching a poacher.
When I started hunting, hunters in neighbouring areas reported to my host that there was a new rifle in town even before I came in with the kill. So poachers using rifles would probably be detected real fast.

Well ... I was not afraid of being volontary targeted and transformed somehow into venison !!! Just the accidental nocturnal slug missing the deer and hitting me...

But I guess you mainly mean making my hammock and/or myself visible is a sure way to say "go poaching elsewhere".....

As for snares, I don't know if they use them for roe deer and wild boar ?!?!....

In Germany poachers use them for roe deer and deer. Sometimes there are reports when police need help in current cases. Snares were used for wild boar shortly after WWII when local hunters were not allowed to have firearms. I do not know about recent cases in Germany though.

Eskimos used to catch polar bears with deadfall traps, so I believe you.
