Sarah and I got our Evac-U8's on sale; She can tell you where; I don't remember. They're nifty little things, fit in their box and just sit there until you need them.

Ours are about to expire; I don't know what we're going to do about replacing them at this point because they ARE so expensive, but we figure it's better to have something out of date like that than nothing at all.

Medications. Any medication you NEED to have (any number of anti-depressants, antibiotics, whatever you've been prescribed, diabetic type pills, etc) you should have enough on hand AND UP TO DATE to get you through at least a day.

Just my thoughts on that.

And no, I'd never let Sarah get trapped in a building if I could get her out. Armed guards or not. Grrrr! But at the same time, there might be circumstances preventing me from taking care of her, in which case I am infinitely grateful that she can take care of herself.

In many ways, this is the basis for our relationship. We work it out beforehand so that when crisis strikes (as it invariably does, though, knock on wood, not often us), we are ready to deal with it and take care of it with what we have at hand, to the best of our ability.

Either together, or apart.

~hugs Sarah~

Great cranium exercise, I like that.
I don't often picture myself NOT being able to get to my vehicle, I'm never far from it, but I guess it could get stolen, especially with the influx of people into the area of the country that I'm in that don't share the same mindset that most of the locals have. Things change, but not always for the better. Northern Illinois (West of Chicago) used to be thought of as "The sticks", now, it's becoming the far west suburbs. Guess that explains my retirement fantasy of a motor-sailer in the Carribean, when you don't like the neighbors, pull up anchor.
Thanks for the insight, see... I did learn something <img src="/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

This reminds me of something that I have done for both my home and work. I took a map and maped out where different things were in the area. Doing that with an office compound map would also work.

Marking out things like supply rooms, Water sources, electric rooms would be useful. Are there fuel tanks on the property? Is there a cistern or water tower? Are there underground access tunnels between buildings?

These and more questions can be answered...

I get headaches every day. It's called CDH or Chronic Daily Headache syndrome, so I always carry multiple pain relievers. Enough for a bad day or two. I even carry Tylenol because lots of people are allergic to the good stuff -- including my brother.

When starving in the corporate environment, remember the giant koi in the fishtanks...

Awww! Not the Koi!

Well, if you have to, I have an article on my site on how to deal with fish that size...

Survivalgene.com

What ever you do, do not wrap the fish in any leaves from the office plants for steaming in the microwave...
:P
