Very nice, I split up the contents of one pack between my kits and the other is going in my truck whole. From what I have seen one of the best production kits out there for it's size and price. I really like the whistle, so much in fact it has replaced the Fox 40 refs whistle I previously carried on my keychain. The rescue flash Mirror is extremely nice, great size for carry. Everything else is great. The only thing that I was a little dissapointed in was the compass, it isn't as fast at finding direction as my Silva watch compass, but is acceptable. After all, if I remember correctly I paid almost as much for that Silva compass alone as I did for the whole surival kit. All in all I think I will be buying more for my other vehicles/snomobiles and possibly as gifts. I know that PSP along with some other items I throw in will be great for that ever possible emergency.

Do you have to blow that whistle VERY hard to get any sound out of it???
I was very disappointed in mine(the whistle that is.)
Is there something wrong with mine?

The only other problem I had was that the compass was pointing the WRONG WAY!!!
Actually it always pointed with north in the same direction in relation to the package. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
If I took it out of the package, it worked ok, but I thought that it was supposed to be packed in such a way that that did not happen.

My whistle is fine. I don't have to blow it too hard to get a good loud sound out of it. Maybe yours is blocked or something?

As to the compass, there is enough metal in the kit to keep it stuck to one position. If I had to say there was a weak point to the kit is is probibly the compass. Everything else was exactly as a expected in my two kits, the compass's were just a little slow. Maybe from being packed close to metal?
