First it was the gal who drove off a bear by pelting it with zucchini.

Next it was woman the wack-a-moose snowshovel

Now, this one strangled a rabid bobcat to death

Maybe there's another reason women live longer than men?

The examples in nature are legion -- don't mess with a mama bear (or any other mama creature).

Toughness and resilience and resolve tend to win out over sheer physical strength.

Human history shows that, in many places and many impossible situations, the resolute female does what she can, and quietly, relentlessly, carries civilization forward.

None of this is noted in heroic history books; but, to the careful observer, the fact that they are written at all tends to prove the point.

I agree that female toughness and resiliency is remarkable and useful in all kinds of situations, but what really works best is a combination of female characteristics with masculine factors.

In a lot of situations, from office to field, the best and most productive efforts in my experience seem to result when guys and gals blend together and solve problems.

This was most notable to me in Search and Rescue, where one would think that male higher physical strength would be absolutely necessary and always critical. Not so! For one thing, not all tasks require high physical performance and nuanced thinking and reasoning is more critical. On many occasions, the female perspective has been absolutely critical is resolving issues.

Going into an enterprise, hands down I would prefer a mixed sex group over one comprised of only just one...

Canada Natives too.

Bella Twin, World Record Grizzly bear, single shot rifle, 22 "long" (not one of those new fangled high velocity long rifle gizmos) rimfire, at 30 feet.
