I've got to bite my tongue on the rest.
I think
everybody has been biting their tongue on this one. It has everything a moderator could desire: religion
and politics.
On the one hand, I'm glad they survived. I'm especially glad their children did not die as a result of their actions. And I salute the many people who went out of their way to bring them home.
On the other hand, I feel pretty strongly that God/Nature (adjust per your POV) provided a head to be
used and not just as a convenient place to hang a hat.
As for the "next plan," perhaps a more balanced view of The Old Book would be a good first step. My knowledge of scripture is rusty, but I do recall the phrase "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Wise words from the ages.
