These are so simple yet functional. I am thinking of doing these as a project with my Girl Scouts. You need 1 8' 2"x12" and a couple of hours. They store easily and take up virtually no room at all. Check out these links for the info. Apparently the design has been around for a long time.

I have used these chairs at events before, but I eventually got rid of the one I had. Yes, they are pathetically easy to make, but unfortunately they are heavy and awkward to carry around, especially if the trek from the vehicle to the campsite or tourney field is very far. Also, if you are tired and not paying attention to what you are doing, they are pretty easy to fall over in as well, if you don't stay "centered". Fortunately, I haven't known anyone to dump themselves into a firepit or anything, but it would certainly be possible.

However, if you are careful and don't need to move them around much, they are an easy project to do.
