Hopefully it's okay to discuss an online vendor. I've purchased from Survival Metrics a couple times; they're the only company I can find that sells the "Tinder Card" stuff that you may have seen in the Peak Survival youtube vids. It's good stuff and I wanted to get more for a project I'm working on. Plus I had a coupon so I decided to get more TC and stock up on UCO Stormproof matches while I was at it. Well today that order arrived in the mail, and instead of the UCO matches I ordered I got some "ProForce" ones. While they might be good matches I'm pretty sold on the UCO ones.

I emailed them to ask for for an exchange and then went to lunch. By the time I got back I got a reply; they apologized for the mixup and said they'll send the UCOs right away. They also told me to keep the other ones for my troubles. Now a cynic would say it costs them more to pay return shipping than it would cost them to keep them but it's still a nice gesture and good company service. Of course, if I try them and like them they'll probably make another sale!

Anyway, it's nice to see such a responsive company. Kudos to Survival Metrics. I'll be doing business with them for a long time to come.

Ive had Companies not respond at all to inquires or respond with Dont care emails so yeah when a online company retailer is quick to respond and solves the issue in a way that pleases the consumer regardless of the solution its always nice to hear about it.

Yeah, it's really huge to me when a company is responsive. To be honest, lots of stuff they sell can be had cheaper elsewhere but the Tinder Card is very hard to find. Now that I've found them to be good to work with I'll probably funnel more of my purchases thru them.

FWIW, McMann's site is another one that offers good service and a lot of interesting stuff. I'll have to find the url but you can google "bepreparedtosurvive" or some variation of that.
