One thing that never ceases to amaze me is that in a true crisis situation people are generally calmer and more clever than popular media and the movies would leave us to believe. This is one of those instants where young teens with at least a min. of training figured out how to react in the face of problem.

Yes, good to see that people, even young people, can act sensibly in the face of emergency.
The subject line of this thread, however, made me think there was some sort of mutiny on the bus, and students commandeered the bus and are now sailing for an undiscovered country in the South Pacific.
