I use stripper clips for my 380. I think they are standard 30-06 clips but I can't remember for sure. Not so quick to use though. The rubber strip (what are they called??) work well. I use them with my .38 and they are quite fast and easy to carry. However using them with a gun that requires half moons would be very slow. Best to find a way to carry the half moons.

I had an old webley(?spelling?) 45 with half moons. Never found a really good way to carry them.

^ This.

The P239 is really nice, but a bit heavy for the round count it provides.

Nothing wrong with the G26. Keep in mind you can also use a full size magazine with the G26 which gives you a nice spare option.

There are other good options out there like the HK P2000SK (accepts full size P30 mags) and SW M&P 9c.

Also consider hanging out on defensivecarry.com a bit.

Good luck and be safe,

Went back and re-read the original post, nevermind me saying carry a speedloader or two. Never owned anything where you'd need the half moon clips so I have no experience at all with them.

Me again,

Thanks everybody for your thoughts and ideas. I really appreciate it.

Comms, need to apologize at all. I'm not sure that it is possible for me to agree with you more. smile I harbor no "Dirty Harry" kinds of bang, bang, shoot 'em up ideas. I sincerely hope and pray that the only time my weapon clears it's holster is at the range. My thoughts were along the lines of the saying about backups. 1 is none, 2 is one (or something like that)

Thanks again everyone.
