He's lucky he didn't hit his femoral artery. Like the article says, use a holster!

Should he surrender his Man Card for this?

On a more serious note, this isn't the first time it's happened

Less lucky

It wasn't the PINK that was the problem, it was the lack of GRAY matter.

I've seen guys do that on TV and movies most of my life, and always thought it seemed like a bad idea.

Years ago, a man in CA raped a woman at gunpoint, and as he ran off, he tucked the handgun into his waistband and accidentally fired it as he did so. He apparently did hit the femoral artery (the news article just said 'groin'), as the police said he died just a few minutes later. I guess he was easy to follow. Couldn't help chuckling at the time. I still smile at the memory. Sometimes what goes around, comes around, and sometimes it happens pretty fast. I hope it hurt a lot.

Thirty plus years ago in SoCal (Riverside Co. I believe) a deputy sheriff relieved an arrestee of a concealed pistol. Having no good place to put it while finishing the arrest, he tucked it behind his duty belt for the moment. BIG,BIG mistake.....
His mind was apparently dealing with the arestee and not thinking about what he was doing with the confiscated pistol.

Afterwords, he was worse off than just 'gimpy'......

Sorry,
gimpy
