According to the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Sierra Club (where I first saw this course mentioned), it is put on by the "American Health and Safety Institute".

American Health and Safety Institute:
http://www.ashinstitute.com/According to their site, the class I'm taking "Advanced Wilderness First Aid" on the UF site, is listed as "Wilderness First Aid" on AHSI's site:
Wilderness First Aid is a 16-20 hour course for those who do more serious wilderness activities. It is the choice of many wilderness trip leaders and guides. WFA presents wilderness topics in more detail, provides more time for skills practice, and also includes role-playing wilderness accident scenarios.
I recently took the Red Cross's first aid course, and that was _very_ basic. I've learned more elsewhere but am not certified to do any of those things.
I'll let everyone know what I thought after I'm done!
