Didn't want to hijack the Dogs of War thread. Though not as well known, cats are valuable war companions also.

I love cats, but if I had to chose an animal to go into battle with it would definitely be a dog. I think this post should be moved to the War Dogs thread in the hopes that it would maybe bring a smile to the faces of those who are wound too tight.

I agree 6pac. I live with cats and they're just as likely to say "meh. don't feel like it today" and lay down for a bath. Hero material they are not. They'd serve better in tne recovery ward.

Kudos on your thread movenent suggestion too. Too testy over there for me.

Cats would say, "You want me to do WHAT?? WHERE???" Then there would be a cat-shaped chunk of empty air. Cats are not dumb.

Very funny link, though...

If annoyed or afraid, however, the cats of my acquaintence readily demonstrate both cat-fu with their built-in armament and are likely to retaliate later with chemical weapons.

I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would go to the dogs...

I'm not entirely sure I would feel enthusiastic about jumping into the ocean with a cat where my head is the only dry spot. Now don't get me wrong, I don't consider myself particularly pretty to look at, I just doubt that the free-form plastic surgery stylings of your average house-cat while desperate to get out of the water would be an improvement.

On the other hand cats may have their uses:

The question I have is whether this predates SNLs laser cats or the other way round.

Sanders And Simpkins (SAS) D-squadron had mixed results with their Counter Terrorism Tiger (CTT).
