'What if' maps of major accidents happening in the US

The maps take no account of prevailing winds, which is most likely going to be an important consideration here on the West Coast with prevailing northwesterlies. I am 125 miles downwind from Canyon Diablo.....

Makes me think of The Omega Man and Charlton Heston zooming through the deserted streets of LA.

The situation really doesn't translate to any other place, plant or situation. Playing pin-the-disaster-zone-on-the-donkey can be an amusing distraction but it isn't going to provide any information more useful than suggesting that: 'gee ... that would suck'.
