I understand NYC had a hard time of it.

Even Florida got snow. Most of it didn't survive hitting the still warm ground but snow was visible in north and NW Florida. Central Florida saw 20F and south Florida saw hard freezes, where crops and pipes are at risk, 28F for two hours or more.

Having checked the main US news media websites such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC and Fox News etc it pretty clear from the lack of headline news stories about the post east coast blizzard, that it shows everything is in hand and that only a few minor tertiary residential roads in NYC just need to be plowed, with this delay being mainly due to lazy Union workers with their slowdown approach to getting the job done. wink

Are we beginning to see the start of the political blame game for some difficulties which may begin after Hogmanay when everyone attempts to return to work after the weekend.
