The style of above ground cistern I am considering is a half of a cylinder which mounts next to the wall of the house. I'm not sure if the flat part gets attached to the wall or not. I hope not for obvious reasons. 528 gallons. it would be pretty easy to conceal and not really be in the way. Also you can gutter a lot of water into it.

Nighthiker, that's excatly the sort of tote I'm wanting. We ship out hundreds of these every day filled with chemicals but our supplier won't sell me just one. :-(

I never knew in ground cisterns could be so dangerous. Wow.

I knew about poop tanks and such. Had a bad experience with a very small shed that contained about 150 sacks of fertilizer.

Thanks for the info.

My father in law had a near miss experience with an above ground water tank when trying to coat the inside with an epoxy paint. Enclosed spaces can be nasty.

Nice! And only $45 for shipping in Texas. I wonder if it could be set outside hooked to my rain gutters.

The opening in the top "should" allow for it
