A little about myself, I grew up in rural Alaska served 6 years in the Air Force as a maintenance technician and now live in Oklahoma.
I'm sure glad I found a place dedicated to survival.
My name is Jon and I've only recently started looking online for places like this.

Bonjour ! I'm Jeanette Isabelle, named after the traditional French Christmas carol "Un Flambeau, Jeanette, Isabelle." Dad's side of the family, from which I get my French heritage, is from Norman Oklahoma. I stumbled upon this place while doing research on one of my interests, aviation.

Thank you for the warm welcome Jeanette and Izzy.
When I noticed Mr. Ritter being the admin here and several great posts I was drawn in.
Dangint, looks like I posted on top of you, thank you as well, I just served my six, went round the world at the mercy of the AWACS, great times.

Never mind, looks like it is, Ham technician.
I've been interested, several of my friends got licensed when I was younger.
My dad has had his call sign forever, after college is done with I think HAM might be a new hobby, after knives, sharpening and playing with fire. (home made alcohol and wood stoves)
I've actually got a topic that I haven't seen posted here or my other haunts, except in passing (that last bit is a pun)

I'll try, I try to keep it basic, though I do have a penchant for improbable scenarios, I think I enjoy working out the possibilities the most.

Welcome to the Forum! It is true what everyone says: No question is to silly. Use the Forum search function for awhile. You will find a ton of great info. All that serves to turn the hamsters loose in your mind.
