Hi all

I've looking to get a belt pouch to edc a cell phone, pen & notebook, small FAK (band aids, 4x4's ect)and so on, and I've narrowed my choice to the maxpedation m2 or anemone.

Has anyone any experience with them?

many thanks in advance.

Have the ubiquitous Maxpedition pocket organizer and love it. If fact, have two of them. Also have Condor pouches from LA Police gear.

I've got both the M2 and the Barnacle, which basically is the smaller version of the Anemone. The Barnacle had the contents of the AMK .3 medical kit in it and it was filled to the max. IMHO: get the M2 for the additional space.

Have you considered a playing card case or cell phone pouch - both cheap, available in a wide variety of sizes and look pretty normal.

Take a look at the Nite-Ize Pocket-Its products. County Comm has one for $11. I use the standard size unit to carry a Mini-Mag, a Buck Multi-tool, A DR MSK-5 knife, a ResQMe, a Bic lighter and a FAK with the minor boo-boo stufff (stuffed in the tin the MSK5, some 2x2's and a pair of Nitrile gloves. Fits nicely on my belt.

I added the 2x2's after I fell on a stone covered path while walking the dog last week. I had a wipe to wash the stone dust out of the wound but had no sponge like material to wipe up the blood so I could put on a large bandaid. Amazing how much you can bleed from a scraped knee.
