looks like you got the heavy stuff ( PSK, swiss tool ) on the right side and the lighter stuff on the left, so it is a bit unbalanced, not much, though. and uh.. no FAK ?

My contents are 3 quick fire tabs, several matches, a large stick of magnessuim w/ stricker. A small knife , 2 or three razorblades, some foil, a info card. Some precision tweezers for when I step in cactus . Suunto clipper, a photon light , cotton balls, some fishing hooks. I also have two small spools with thread in one and fishing line in one. Also i have a vile of iodine and some bandaids. any suggestions? Sorry for how messy this is but i am in a hurry .

Sorry for the silly question, I have seen this a lot and I know what a PSK and FAK are, but what is an EDC? I can guess but cannot figure out the acronym. Thanks in advance!

We just had a thread on this about a month ago. Search the forum for "small fak".

Rusty: Just daydreaming about your list...
You could add a tea candle and some mason's twine to your left pocket and elevate your trash bag to a warmer, more flexible shelter system.
You could slip all your left pocket stuff into a fairly stiff 1 L plastic bag to use as a water container. I was thinking about a used milk bag, or a 1 L platypus bottle with the screw cap end cut off.
And you could also supplement your Zippo with a backup butane lighter, because you KNOW the Zippo is going to run dry after a week or so. (But then, how long do you plan to be in survival mode? And you do have lots of fire redundancy.)
If you're only carrying one blade, maybe the Crawford is not the best bet (sleek and beautiful though it is) since it lacks any kind of guard. When your hands are cold and stiff, and you're under duress, you might want something substantial to keep your fingers from slipping onto the blade.
