Finally, she agreed to a tactical vest from these people:

Lots of pockets for her survival stuff.

Hmmm, what do you know? Sex really does sell! I bet it got all the guys' attention (at least mine!) but does something like this really interest the everyday woman? I think it looks great for bondage type issues but for everyday attire, I think not. If you really ask women if and how they want to carry survival equipment, I'd bet they would rather adapt their purses instead of wearing such a contraption! JMHO.

Now I know what to get my wife for for her birthday!

Note to self: sleep with a handcuff key.

That's my take on it as well. Looks like tons of fun in a zombie-killing, Halloween costume-type of way, but like a fabulous pair of stiletto heels, it's not very practical (and unlike stilettos, this doesn't look as versatile).

I see few improvements on the concealed-carry options for a corset at all with this. It also screams "Look at me!" which I think is counter-productive in the female preparedness aspect. While I really like the idea of giving a tactical vest a more fitted, feminine shape, boned corsets are generally NOT comfortable to wear after a long period of time or much physical exertion.

When I dress up, I prefer to use a purse, or if the dress/skirt I'm wearing is full enough, strapping things to my leg. But though I'll have to pass, I'm sure there is a market among the preparedness-minded ladies and poi-spinners out there for this. Good luck to them!

I was going to say it doesn't come up high enough to be a decent plate carrier. But those are good reasons too.

I know a woman who can carry a wine glass up there, but I never saw her try a plate.
