I've encountered several varieties of wallet-size emergency/survival cards, either individually or in small packs, such as Brunton Survival Cards. Can anyone here recommend a brand?

depends on your needs.
here is a kit card http://hometown.aol.com/widmn/SURVIVALKIT.html
or get a tool card like:
SOG acces card, Spyderco card, Toollogic, swisstool, the BCB tool, etc.
Don't have experians with them, exsept for the swisscard, which i like a lot, but it isnt a survival card.

The brunton survival cards are primarily instructions. The only tools included are the fesnel magnifier and the "floating" compass. If you are looking for instruction cards you could probably compile more useful ones yourself. These instructions should fit your EDC tool carry (don't have instructions for using a mag block if you don't carry one), then they should fit your scenario - are these reminders for you or useful references such as declination charts or are they instructions for joe samaritan who might find you and your kit lying by the roadside, then they need to fit expected level of training of the target audience - if they are for joe samaritan they should say obvious things like "DON'T EVER USE A TOURNIQUET ON ME!" or "I'M A DIABETIC" if they are for your use then they should include the references you might not remember like a table of sin / tan for celestial navigation or pictures of edible plants or methods of expedient water filtration or how to find and recognize animal tracks (depending upon your current level of skill and training).

I know you were talking about wallet sized cards Craig, but just for interest, here's a link to the SAS Survival Handbook as a plastic flick-book:
