hi guys
Anyone heard about or got any opinions on the Sigg hydration sytem-it fits into your sigg bottle and turns it into something resembelling a camelback!

i have no experians with the sigg hydration system, but most, if not all hands-off hydration systems with hardshell resevoirs/bottle's will creat a vacuum, with makes it very hard to use wenn it starts to get emtyer...

Wow, what a coincedence. I'd never seen this before untill today when I visited a hiking shop in salisbury. It looks like quite a good idea, although you could get a platipus bottle and hoser for the same price

I think it's time my platty go reknewed-all the seams are dark cloudyt white which my mate recons is just before they leak-anyone heard of this? i darent take a risk!

i got that on mine platypus resevoirs/bottle 2, but only a little bit. havent had a problem with it yet...... mine arent that old, but did had a hard time... curious school/classmates squizing in it, throwing it, etc. you know, school use ! <img src="images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

This looks like the same principle behind the TABS straw that Brigade Quartermasters sell for the GI canteen. You can overcome the vacuum problem by blowing air into the canteen/Sigg bottle through the hose whenever the resistance to drinking starts to build. The military teaches the same thing for drinking from a canteen while wearing a NBC mask. It can take more lung power than you might expect but it does work
