Congratulations on your bottle yeti, I think you'll love it. I can be a little rough on the gear at times. I had dropped my bottle several times onto concrete (at work) and it picked up some dents here and there but it still works great. I wish that these bottles were available 20 years ago, and I've gotten that taste to where I'm starting not to like the taste of water in plastic containers. Kinda of like coke in a can V/S coke in a glass bottle, the glass taste better nut in this case the metal taste better.

Agreed on the taste...I was noticing water left in Nalgene for more than a day developed a strong taste and odor. It tends to get stronger as time goes on.

On the metal side...I've only been using them for 1-day water and 2-days for tea thus far. Next week I may be trying long-term water storage and I'll report back. I have been using the bottles every day since Sunday.

About the only thing I'm not sure I care about is the cord attachment for the cap. It would make it harder to clean in situations where you might carry something other than water.

Also, while they fit well in the Olicamp Space Saver Cups, I've noticed that wet bottles, or those which undergo rapid cooling (adding ice) get a little bit of vaporlock in the cup. I've been able to easily remove it, but it does take a slight amount of effort. It can be something not done with one hand easily...but then, neither is unscrewing a bottle cap. Side-by-side with a Nalgene, sans cap, they look identical in size and shape.

Anyone have ideas on how to scratch my name on these bottles? If they start showing up in the work refrigerator more, I might have a problem <grin>.

Hopefully, I'll have pics up tonight.
